What is Scrawl Brawl?

Scrawl Brawl encapsulates the spirit of brief and successful battle through 100-word “battle to the death” story writing.

The goal of Scrawl Brawl is to write a story from the perspective of a warrior, tough guy, villain, heroine, victim or other participant in a fight.

Scrawl Brawls are based on a particular theme. Themes will change as the The Despot deems fit. The current theme is WEIRD TALES (any genre, really, as long as it’s weird and someone/thing dies). 

Scrawl Brawls can be funny, dramatic, romantic, or random, but they should have some form of violence, pain, death, or gruesomeness. It is, after all, a battle to the death. (Please no poems. Stories only.)

More importantly, Scrawl Brawls are stories based around interesting characters. Stories will be posted on the Brawls Page.

Your Scrawl Brawl must be top-notch writing and immaculately proofread. One spelling smudge, grammar glitch, or punctuation pockmark may spell instant death for a Scrawl Brawler. The Despot knows no mercy.
